Old Main Line Visitor's Center

The Switch Tower, now used as "The Old Main Line Visitor's Center & Post Office" was originally located at the PRR railroad station in Baltimore, MD. It It was built as the "B&P Junction" interlocking tower in 1911. It was outfitted with a U.S.& S. Model No. 14 interlocking machine with 97 working levers. These levers were used to control the movement of the trains through the switches in the rail yard. In 2000, the tower was rebuilt at it's new location by the Town of Sykesville using much of the original materials.
